This practice, I believe is common with just about all manufacturers of Computers. It is under-handed, cheap and bordering on deceitful! Especially for a company who portrays itself as a leading producer of electronics! I purchased a laptop from HP, which came with a one year warranty included in the price. After one year I decided to purchase a one year extended warranty. I was quoted a price and informed that the warranty would be one year from the date of purchase!!??? In order to obtain a one year from the end of my first year I would have to purchase a TWO YEAR plan!!!! which means I would be paying again for my first year of coverage during which I had no issues!!! If I wanted a TWO YEAR extension I would have to purchase a THREE YEAR plan!!! I think, once again, this is a cheap, under-handed business practice which should be exposed and indicates how much confidence or lack of confidence you have in your product!
