ASUS COMPUTER INTERNATIONAL ASUS Doesn't Honor Their Warranty

I bought an ASUS K61IC notebook computer from Newegg. The ASUS webpage describes the notebook as having a "2-year limited global hardware warranty." The Newegg product page (Item# N82E16834220638) describes it as having a 2-year parts and 2- year labor warranty. I called Newegg customer support, and they verified that it has a 2-year warranty. I call ASUS for warranty service and they tell me the laptop was sold to me with a 1-year warranty. I even had the tech go the his own web page where the 2 year warranty is specified. Even so, he told me that the notebook was sold to me with a 1-year warranty. I had him go to the Newegg web page, where a 2 year parts and 2 year warranty is clearly indicated. A dozen phone calls over 6 weeks plus two escalations and they still refuse to honor their 2-year warranty, in spite of the proof I have given them. They never even called me back, despite promises to do so. I had to call them every time. In the meantime, I have a notebook with a video issue and ASUS won't fix it under warranty, even though it is under warranty.
