@Spirit Airlines My 18 year old daughter flew to Indiana to visit her friend. Her return flight was Sunday. When boarding time came, there was an announcement the flight was delayed because a flight attendant did not show up. After an hour they said another flight attendant was on their way. After another hour, they said the flight was canceled. There were no other flights available that night and the only flight they could get her home on was another 24 hours away for Monday night. They didn't offer her a place to stay, they did not give her money for food - she was left on her own to figure it out. We were able to get her flight out Monday morning on another airline and paying another $300 out of pocket. I called Spirit 3 times to complain & ask for our money back but they said the flight was canceled because of weather. THERE WAS NO BAD WEATHER!! They lied & refuse to take responsibility for their problem of not having a flight attendant and we have to pay for their mistake.
