Arbitrary Theater Policy Has Cost Two Seniors $348.30

@Al Hirschfeld Theatre On September 28, 2021, I purchased two tickets to the Broadway Musical, MOULIN ROUGE, which is at The Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York. The tickets are for Orchestra seats P2 and P4 for the matinee performance (2:00 pm) on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. The cost of the tickets, which was paid for by credit card, is $348.30. I did not receive actual tickets, but rather an electronic confirmation that I would have to bring to the Theatre on April 6, with my cell phone, and have the code scanned. Subsequent to the purchase of those tickets, my husband and I (we are senior citizens) contracted to have a new home built in a 55 community. The home is scheduled to be available to us as of March 30, 2022. At the time we purchased the tickets, we did not know that we would find the home of our retirement dreams and that the availability of the home would coincide with the April 6, 2022 MOULIN ROUGE performance. The theater refuses to refund our $348.30.
