Flat screen TV went flat
My New LG 47 inch TV will not turn on.. Model # 47LV4400.
The Tv is only 2 months old.. The Future Shop will not replace but did tell me that LG had a bad batch of TV's specifically the 4400 series. Quite a number replaced. But LG wants to send in a service guy but the parts were not in and the repair contract is with a small company based 264 km away.. I've been without my tv now for 6 days and they want me to wait another 2 and if it isn't in by then I can put in a complaint.. In my opinion , LG is trying to avoid a recall of these TV's and I'd advise anyone with one to contact them as once the year is up , so is their warranty...

Had a problem with brand new LG washer shredding clothes. LG had an appliance guy come out who advised us to swap the washer at hhgregg (30 day guarantee). LG claims no responsibility for shredded items. They don't stand behind their products. Good Luck.
There is a lemon law against products tell them it's under warranty and that you will file a complaint against them if they don't comply. Some purchases if paid by credit cards can be disputed meaning you feel it's not worth the money. They sometimes don't make you pay if you tried in goodfaith to get it returned or resolved. Good luck!
I have LG everywhere in the house, TV's (3) Fridge,Oven. No problems at all ever, had them for about 3 years now, Sounds like you just got a bad TV.
Yes you are right. In fact LG knows that they had a manufacturing problem with the LV4400 series TV's (three sizes 42,47, and 55") Instead of doing a recall on the sets, they have decided to wait for the breakdowns to occur and send local TV repair to fix. But that is taking too long as parts are short shipped and customers like myself are waiting weeks.. I'm into week 2 now.. They have stopped production of the 4400 series and have taken all reference to it off their support site. Once the warranty of one year is up, then the homeowners that have problems with them will be without recourse. I'm sure mine will be fixed, just not in a timely fashion and it is frustrating.
I'm not saying that all LG TV's or appliances are bad , just the 4400 series TV's with a known defect by the manufacturer.
