StraightUpProblems with StraightTalk | Gripevine
I recently purchased and activated a StraightTalk phone and service plan last week (Telephone Number 239-257-7546), and have experienced nothing but difficulties. This morning, I contacted customer service because I could not access my voice mail. Your technical support operator could not resolve the issue for me, and insisted that I call from another phone. I explained that this was an impossibility for me, and she continued to repeat herself stating that "if the call is dropped, she would not be able to call me back" which is pure nonsense. Therefore, I want an authorization to return this phone for a complete refund, and I want my monthly service refunded. I want nothing to do with StraightTalk, and do not wish further cell phone service from you because of your unreliable equipment, inadequate and incompetent technical support, etc.

Not getting any assistance! They called leaving me a voice mail knowing that I cannot retrieve my voice mail, and then followed up with an e-mail with a number that keeps me trapped in voice mail menu options:

I have just placed the consecutive calls to 1-888-251-8164 for assistance resolving issues with my phone. I was not able to reach or talk to a representative; moreover, I was caught in your voice mail system being shuffled from one menu to the next. Please call me at your earliest convenience so that we can resolve these issues, or you can provide me instructions for obtaining my refunds.

Switch to Page Plus Cellular... they are cheaper and its only on the CDMA network.
Thank you, but not cheaper. More expensive with only 1G of data for $55. Uses same networks. Additionally, they admit that they are a re-seller on their site, yet their coverage map appears to provide better coverage--so there is a question of how honest they are with the info they provide about their service.
