Peanut allergy and the rudeness of a so called Ambassador for the Chicago Cubs

Do you know what is sad. I took my 9 year old son to his first Cubs game on Friday. He had the time of his life as a Cubs fan, however we had to move several times because of peanuts(which was expected).

We understand it's a ballgame and respect that people want to eat peanuts with their ball game, no problem.

I did call the Cubs just to see if there was a section or anything that can be done because he has several friends who would love to go that also have peanut allergies. I was transferred to a Cubs Ambassador. She said my only advice is don't bring them to Wrigley point blank. She said we have a 98 year old stadium and can't accommodate this issue. They should just watch on TV.

I thought how rude are you kidding me she said no I am not!

After 44 years it makes you want to switch teams, I can stick it out for all the years they have sucked but when you have a request for a row or two in the whole stadium of no peanuts which for my kid and several others are life or death.

She said well I can't guarantee people won't throw them at you either. WOW!!!! Even schools and Planes make accommodation for kids this is a team that says they are kid and family friendly are you kidding me. I'm still a Cub fan because it's in my blood but I'm still in disbelief at this whole conversation. She told me they tried it once before in a suite but didn't know if they would do it again and the waiting list is to long to add anymore to it.

If the waiting list is that long first sign hey hey we might have a problem.

I would appreciate any help this is a great time that should be open to all kids and adults. I've been to stadiums where they don't allow drinking in areas and back in the day didn't allow smoking which I don't do either of my accommodations were still made. I hear there are other ballparks that do this.

If nothing else this lady should be re-trained because in this economy I don't want anyone fired.

Why won't somebody from the Cubs even reply to this serious situation?
